Anyone going Saturday

I didn't get a chance to go earlier this week, but my dad did. He went to Fenholloway Wednesday and caught his limit of some nice uns. I'll be there Saturday for sure..
Persaonally we have been fishing in another spot, but a guy at the boat ramp said they were tearing em up around Rock Island.
If your down that way give me a holler on the VHF Ch. 24. And I'll try to get you a sample of my Hyper Grubs..

Hey chugbug,

A little tough to go offshore in a 17ft unles is FLAT. I want to try some 25ish foot areas but that might not be possible, depending on the water.

Maybe you can ride with us....I don't like to go if it's over 3' Makes it unenjoyable to hold on with one hand and try to fish with the other.

We'll be around Hickory Mound/Rock Island looking for a duck early. Will fish after that. Will have the radio on.

We are going to check out Hickory Mound in the morning. We are also trying to find out the legalities of hunting Rock Island. Any advice on where you can and cannot hunt down there would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know, There are no restrictions on duck hunting if you're outside the impoundment. The rock island area is outside the refuge. I've talked with people that have hunted that area. Hickory mound, however, is a WMA. You have to posess a Fl. WMA stamp. Also, unless theyve changed the regs, you have to stop shooting at 12:00 noon in the impoundment.

Got Fl License, Fl Duck Stamp, and WMA permit. Now I'm dangerous in multiple states. Will probably check out HM or Rock Island until 12:00 noon. Then we will chase a fish somewhere - Econfina, St. Marks, or Shell Pt. Might get to try out my new reel.
