Its getting towards the end of November and although the weather is turning cold the fish bite is heating up!
We are catching good trout , redfish , black drum and sheepshead. This past week we landed a good amount of keeper trout and slot reds. We also put a hurting on the sheepshead population. We did catch a few black drum too. The black drum although not huge were in the 4 to 5 pound range and will make those lucky fisher folks a pot of chowder to warm them up on these cold days.
The trout were landed on shrimp fished on the bottom, white curly tail grubs and root beer colored grubs with a red flake. We also trolled with both the white and root beer and did equally well. The sheepshead and blackdrum were landed using shrimp and minnows on the bottom. The red fish were landed along with the sheepshead and black drum.
We fished inland creeks and bayous with water temps around 50 to 58 with the depths from 6 to 25 feet.
Good luck folks and have a safe trip.
