Aucilla 12-1-05

Post by Welby »

At the landing at 11AM. Water was really low 3 hours after low tide. Made my way into a couple of creeks and picked up a 23" red on a thunder spin. The bit was slow when anything bit at all. I finally stated picking up some keeper trout in about 2-1/2' of water. I was by myself so I could only keep the 5 trout. Total for the day:
2 - 15-1/2" trout
1 - 16-1/2" trout
1 - 17-1/2" trout
1 - 21" trout
1 - 23" Red

1- Really enjoyable day...

Back on the trailer at 4:30PM. Going again tomorrow....

The red was caught in a creek and the trout were on the flats but in close. Shallow water. And, yes there were two old codgers putting in right after me but I was in a 17' Keywest. Nice guys, one tried to help me unload..Thanks
