I havn't done very many fishing reports so i'll do my best.
got out to a late start about 11:00 am. launched out of shields marina and headed up river. caught a small red fish on a jig and cut shrimp. then went further up and anchored near a fallen tree and using small hooks and small pieces of shrimp caught 13 sheepshead, 5 very small mangrove snapper, and 1 small fish i couldn't identify.
If there is no fishing or dogs in Heaven, I want to go where there is!
Y'all got a nice looking boat. Does your boat have bow rails? If so I remember putting by you at some point.
That morning we (me and my wife) had run all the way down river to the wreck and picked up two or three pups, and 1 legal keeper sheepie (which I blackened ate last night). We also caught a mess of puppy black sea bass and released them.
Seemed most of the fishes were all spread out up in the river.
Y'all done good.
Time is the most precious commodity we have in life, stay focused.
Occasionally I'll land a sheephead but hardly ever make it an objective. I've assumed a fairly small weighted hook slowly bounced along is a good approach but don't really know.

we were using size 8 hooks with some split shot above it then a little piece of shrimp. we would just let it sink then jig it a few times then reel em in
