About the same report as catchin1's with the exception of catching fish. Fishin' buddy Michael and myself hit Wilson's at dawn and couldn't buy a live shrimp. Bought some frozen ones and headed out. Fished in the river in our favorite spot and caught nothing. Fished the flats towards Spring Warrior, nothing. Fished the flats towards Rock Island, nothing. Fished behind Rock Island and reconfigured some rocks and the prop, nothing. Headed out deep to jig and drag some plugs, you guessed it, nothing!! Makes for a long, tough day. Glad I went. Sure beat work. On a high note, we bought a bushel of fresh Apalach oysters to enjoy over the Holidays. Also stopped at Roy Deal's and consumed several dozen before heading home.

Merry Christmas everybody!

Way to stick with it...
I spent most of my day at the office. Would have loved to have spent the day like you spent yours...

I don't see many reports from Fen Holloway. Bad day to ding the prop but it sounds like it was operational - can't imagine having to replace one out on the water in this weather.

Wow, that sounds tough!! I would'a thought they'da bit better than that.
Way ta stick with it. 8) Maybe next time. Deal's oyster house is on highway 98 going out of Perry on the left, probably not a mile after you turn off.

Any trip ending at Roy Deal's is a success...except the last time when I went by and they had 0 oysters.

This was the 4th week Deal's had Apalach oysters. Good and salty!! We bought a bushel from Revell's right there on 98. OUTSTANDING!!!!!!!! $35 washed but well worth it considering. Deal's went 17 weeks straight without oysters. They're making up ground though. Thinking of going again this week sometime.
