A fishing buddy and myself put the boat in the water about noon. What a nasty day !!! We went only with the intentions to do some exploring. If we caught any fish that would be gravy. I was really tickled at how shallow we could run the jon boat. The fog and mist never broke, only a few brave souls out today. I wouldn't want to be there in these conditions on a regular basis but for the 1st day of the New Year it was great. Only caught two fish (19" and 17" trout). They were very slugish but will eat good. Left the water about 5PM damp and cold. Had one of the best cups of coffee ever on the ride home. Thank goodness for the new Garmin gpsmap76cs I bought myself for Christmas. May everyone have a blessed New Year and great fishing.
