Cape Horn or Key West ?
For the past couple of months I've been entertaining the idea of trading boats....I have a Carolina Skiff V-19 with a 90 Mercury two stroke motor...boat and motor 2004 model...
Boat has served me well..I've used it a lot out of St Marks and its tough as a battlewagon..( one feller referred to it awhile back as a 4 wheel drive boat, but I ain't gittin' into that ! )
Business associate of mine is showing some interest in buying it so I figure if I'm ever gonna buy another one, now would be the time..
I'm familiar with the Key West 19 Bay and Reef and couple weeks ago looked at the Cape Horn 19..Both look to be fine boats..The main reason I would consider selling my CS is that this past year I started getting a little further offshore than it was built for..At least to my way of thinking..
And I figure this year I'm going to be doing more offshore fishing..hopefully...
I just wondered who on the forum would have some experience with either the Key West or Cape Horn...I know TC has a KW...
Also wonder how they would compare price wise....Have a dealer in Albany for both makes so I imagine I'll price them up with motors in the next week or so....
I'd appreciate any input any of you might have on either one of these...

Key West 220CC
We have the Key West 220CC. Love it. 225 4 stroke Yamaha. Will easily run 45 mph with 2 to 3 people on smooth seas. Very dry boat. Great for fishing, kind of crowded when loaded with dive equipment. Bought it from Wayman at Jack's in Perry. Could not ask for a more honest, nicer guy than Wayman.
Can't comment on Cape Horn other than I know someone who had one and they said it was a very wet ride.
Send me a message for more details if needed.

You just can't fix stupid.
Then they took it off the trailer. Hope Wevans gets ta ride inside next timeI rode 53 miles in TC's boat last Friday, in 1 to 2's and an occasional 3, it was VERY comfortable and totally dry in those conditions

"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".
