What does everyone think this little cold front coming is going to do to the trout? I want to go Saturday but don't want to waste a trip if they are going to be shut down.
It's usualy best ahead of the front and takes em a couple days after to get back in the bitting mood. With the temps they are talking about, They should be in the holes and feeding SLOW
“Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you are a mile away from them and you have their shoes.”
I agree, I would find a creek with a rocky hole near an oyster bar and hop a rootbeer tube jig s-l-o-w on the bottom around the edges of the hole, expecting to loose a few jigs to the rocks.
I believe the fish will have "lock-jaw"... Lunar tables indicate poor conditions. TC is right you'll always learn something, and you'll never know unless you go. Find out where Jumptrout is going, follow him from the point he puts his boat in the water, and he will lead you to the fish. Moon rises in the afternoon light westerly winds 5-10, looks like your best shot for catching.
Good Luck !
