Cold morning in a kayak. I started before first light but the fish didn't. I had some real doubts for the first hour but after the sun got up a bit the trout woke up. I found a lot (~25) in the 15-18 range and maybe 10 more bigger than that. Mirrolures & jigs. I released everything.
I tried to take good pictures but after the first shot I screwed up the camera settings with cold slimy hands, treble hooks and trout in my lap. I tried to fix them in photoshop but it didn't help much. I'm posting them anyway.
Even with the difficulty regarding the camera, it's pretty plain that you had some real nice trout there. Thanks for carrying on through with the report. I know it got windy later in the day and your right about a cold morning. Good job Lit!
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".
As usual, good show there Lit. You da man, when it comes to gettin next to nature with your fishing.
Contrary to what I just said in another thread about it being mostly luck, you got the matrix of it all pegged.
It is part luck but I figure luck is the smaller part. I really do think that fishing out of a kayak has forced me to think more about what is going on in a smaller area. The reasons for that are obvious. Another upside is that I now fish a lot more.
All that said, I have no idea how to find redfish.
Any suggestions?
