Shell Point

Post by bman »

Fished the bars and a creek- a ton of short Mangrove Snappers, A ton of short Sheepes and 4 nice, but just short reds. And then finally one keeper 17" Sheep Head.

Got the sheepes and mangoes on shrimp on the bottom- no shocker there.
The reds hit White shrimp style grubs on a jig head worked along the bars.

What a beautiful day- calm, quite and sunny.

You guys don't fuss about be fishing on a work day- I will be working all weekend while you fish! Enjoy the water with everyone else :-D

I was right on the big Oyster bar near Shell Point- you know where that is right? It is really visible at low tide. :D

One real hint- the reds were on a bar - not in the creek.
That surprised me after the cold this weekend.

Is the Shell Point ramp open now?
