Tailrace fishing 1/28

Post by Second Chance »

Haven't been able to get to C'belle lately so decide to fish a tailrace we have up here Saturday. Called a buddy and we met at the ramp around 10:30. Conditions looked good with an approaching front and water temp up a few degrees over the last week. Started catching hybrids in the 3-5lb range right off the bat. Fish were feeding on shad and anything that resembled a shad worked. Kept a few but, released the majority to fight another day. Caught and released my biggest striper @ 14lbs

I learned to striper fish up at Lake Moultrie in South Carolina....the very home of landlocked stripers. I quickly learned to love it.
That's a beautiful picture. :)
