A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
I've been tying flies for a month now and this is the first break in the weather. Friday appears to be a solid "skip" day. Now let the sun shine, the waters warm and the reds get skinny .
FRIDAY
SOUTHEAST WIND 5 KNOTS...THEN BECOMING NORTHWEST WIND 5
TO 10 KNOTS LATE. SEAS 1 TO 2 FEET. PROTECTED WATERS SMOOTH TO A
LIGHT CHOP.
SATURDAY
NORTH WIND 5 TO 10 KNOTS. SEAS 1 TO 2 FEET. PROTECTED
WATERS SMOOTH. A SLIGHT CHANCE OF RAIN.
It sure has me thinking GROUPER instead of REDFISH decisions, decisions
“Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes. That way when you criticize them, you are a mile away from them and you have their shoes.”
Wevans, where would one go to find grouper while this cold. I've got quite a few #'s but I've never really fished for them this time of year. Would you go deep and bottom fish or troll or stay shallow. Maybe try anything and hope you catch one.
I start trolling in 30 foot and work my way deeper "if necessary" till I find em or I get worried about being in a Bass boat out there and just stay in close and hope for the best
