Didn't think the snook fishing was real hot in the colder weather.I know its south Fl but is it good enough to justify a trip down.
On the other hand thats 1 less fisherman to compete with Sat.

Be gone.

Being from very near that area I would try to reschedule if possible in the hope of more favorable weather. Its very cold there today and probably tomorrow. The weekend may be warmer. The snook fishing will really heat up in April.

This guy probaly knows. I was down there in Feb. 3 years a go the guide told me it was too early for them.

If it were me, I'd go for the snook.

In ancient times I used put in at Goodland and work the first few miles to the east and / or slide down to Cape Romano. There is a channel to the north of the cape called 'snook alley' and for good reason. Only boated out of Everglades City a couple of times and never tried Port of the Islands.

snook fishing is really slow right now, water temp. needs to be i the 70,s for the old linesider to being doing much of anything.... maybe 2 to 3 weeks away if mother nature will cooperate. just my .02$ worth.
