Went from catchin to fishin again

Post by pennfish »

The water was gone yesterday mornin, took me an hour to get to the hole up that darn creek just knowing it would be loaded with fish. Well the hole had zero fish in it :smt009 stayed about 10 min. walked back out for another hour draging the boat, got back to the truck wet wind whipped and real tired, not cold though I felt like I had just competed in some kind of endurance contest or something, sure beat doing most things though.

Nice post, but I guess a forgetable day. Maybe you can just be pleased the sand gnats weren't there. I appreciate the determination to get to where they just "had to be".
One day soon your tide will turn and you'll come across a 75lb Cobia prowling a marker or a herd of 30lb jacks just showing up to assault one of your plugs.

Glad it was you and not me :-D

I would have stayed there all day, and took a bunch of pictures of the grass, rocks, sand....whatever else caught my eye.

A+ for your efforts...

Tough day for sure. However the redbuds, red maples, pears, and plums are blooming so spring is just around the corner.

Some folks would of laid a claim, pitched a tent and waited for them to come back...I'm with you though...I'd cut the rope and find another hole....Glad you got out.... 8)

The next creek over has a good spot in it also where Ive tore them up before not long ago, just didnt have the time or stamana to go there. I wanted to though, just hard headed I guess. Theres alot of water out there, just gotta find the ten percent of it that holds ninety percent of the fish on a given day   .
