Stinkin' Trash Can Cure
If your family is like ours it seems impossible to keep the big black trash can from getting stinch, goo, maggots, etc (you get the idea) in the bottom of it.
The use of plastic trash bags maybe could be more regular... but just don't usually work out that way all through the "trash cycle".
I got tired of having to constantly rinse/wash out the can after the trashman came so I started putting a layer of pine straw in the bottom.
For the most part it works pretty good... Come summer after all the straw has fallen might be a problem, but for now I just grab the rake for a few strokes and be done with it.

I'll certainly take that as a compliment
My solution to the problem is the garbage bin at the office
and all food products go in the woods for the animals to take care of

Same here, but all mine becomes "chum" Did I mention that I caught a grouper that came in the boat sportin' a chicken wing in his throat that I had just sent down? Needless to say, the rest of the leftover Beef O'Brady's wings were gone in short order after that.Fisherman989 wrote:Greenbone's answer works very good. Been doing it for years.
