Any one willing to give me the gps #'s to the entrance of cow creek?
Also where is wakulla beach. Is this up the river? I grew up fishing the area but, so much has changed. I used to fish the flats at low tide then move into creeks and fish the grass with spoon flies as the tide came in. Is this the right thing to do. I went last Friday and fought the fog but, did not have much luck. A few blown shots at reds and one shot at a cobia following a ray. I will figure it all out but, a little help always speeds up the process. Any suggestions or tactics are much appreciated for the St. Marks area.

Yes indeed!!!
Thank you for the #'s. I am forever grateful!
Cobia was in about 2.5 ft of water in the triangle near black rock. He was small probably around 30 inches. He was very content following a ray. I polled within 30 ft of him and my angler/girlfriend tangled her line
. Oh well. It was good to see one on the flats this early maybe that means a banner year. Thanks again for the #'s

Wow! I ain't no expert on cobia behavior but it does seem that this is super early to be seeing them here. I was out there Saturday and the water temp was 63 degrees with a few spots at 65. Obviously, that's warm enough for at least some of them. Do any of the fishatologists on this site know their preferred temp range and normal migration habits? Where do these fish go when they leave us each year? I've always assumed down south to where it's warmer (but we all know what ass u me spells don't we?).
Good luck Mr. KE. Post them reports.

Yours' were on the beach once you spooked 'em. I have to admit, you and Tincan have the fastest net on the flats.Chalk wrote:There in the water there second place....Jumptrout51 wrote:It's OK Chalk to let him know where it is.The best part of creek fishing is to know where the fish are, once you get in the creek.
