FIRST FISHING TRIP PLANNED

MARCH 19th at 7am. at the ramp next to TNT Hideaway!

This is the first organized fishing trip of the newly formed Kayak fishing association ( no formal name yet ) .

All paddle craft are invited to "come on down" and fish the Wakulla River with us.

This will be a great chance to meet fellow paddle fisher man & women from this area and sign up for the association. It costs nothing to become a member, just a few guys who fish from kayaks looking to get organized and meet other folks so we can all better enjoy the sport of fishing from Yaks.

This is not a tournament what so ever.

We will be targeting Bass and a red or two. OK and
maybe a few bushes ( you haven't seen me cast )

Is this going to be a remote pick-up or a downstream and back paddle?

My understanding was that it was going to be a float around TNT, with some downstream/upstream work and back paddle/drift back to the launch site, depending on conditions such as weather, the catch, tide, etc.

Hello, friends! New Kayak Fisherman here. New to kayaking and trying to relearn fishing after too many years away.

I was lead here, like a sheep to slaughter, by Apalach. I would definitely like to get involved with the new group, but was concerned about being too new to the sport. I just put my new 2006 Hobie Outback in the water for the first time this past weekend. I definitely don't want to impose on anyone's serious fishing or drive anyone crazy with my questions. I only ask a lot of questions because I'm genuinely excited and want to learn all I can!

A PM from Apalach, today, encouraged me to come on out and attempted to resolve my anxiety about being too much of a novice. Seeing Yak's post about catching bushes, I figured I'd at least be able to hold my own in that division.

I'm heading out of town on business for a couple of days, but will be back at week's end. I'll definitely plan on making it down to TNT early Sunday! I look forward to meeting you all and learning a thing or two (or three... ...or four!)!

Come on and ask as many questions as you can think of. Then ask some more. I've been at it a while and I certainly have some things I want to learn Sunday. I plan to scrutinize everybodies rigs for new ideas about rigging. My primary emphasis is simplicity. That said, there are things I'd like to do that so far I haven't because it clutters the mission:
fish now, clean up quick, free.

another bass cought buy a newbee yak fishing the same day just up river. same type lure.
sorry the top date was wrong my camera didn't have the right am/pm setting.
bait or lures for sun. yak fishing.
the live bait that has produced the most results: Shinners, craw fish, or shrimp.
lures : spinner bait, snagless sally, 6" lizzard (pumpkin or watermellon seed) or med. Rapala minnow.

any body with other suggestions please post to help LITTORAL or others going yak fishing Sun.
