put in at the lighthouse and headed up east river messed around in there for a while but barely made any casts, the wind was really pushing the boat around and it was hard to manuever around the oyster bars,
headed over to stoney bayou and found the same result,
decided to hit the shallow flats and on my first cast hooked a short trout, after that not a bite, I really needed a drift sock that day the wind was pushing the boat so fast I couldn't keep the shrimp on the bottom, or pop the cork, it was all I could do to keep the slack out of the line.
hindsight I should'a beached the boat against the marsh in east river dropped some shrimp out the back and had a nap in the sun,
I think that one little trout felt sorry for me,
water temp 59 at start 61 by midday, it's getting closer,
glad to hear someone else caught some fish
