Another exciting chapter of Chalk & "2 Liters" Big Adventures

$100 dollars in gas
39.2 miles on GPS (North, South, East and West)
60 trout and 1 flounder

Listening to your partner try to convince Birddog that a cold 2 liter coke was a much better deal than a 16 oz one...Priceless

On a real fishing note - I have seen grubs make a difference in catching, as well as CT leader length or what bait was being thrown, but never the color of jig head....I throw alot of chartreuse jig heads....was throwing one yesterday, ole "2 liter" was throwing a red jig head....same leader length, same color grub and same action...At one time he was catching 6 to my 1.....I finally conceded and changed to a red jig head and the catching evened up....Sometimes it's the little things

Forgot to mention that I cleaned the fish this morning and their gullets were empty.

Also....From my conservative side (that applies to trout only :o  )...The two bigger fish we kept are forming roe, so if you catch a good ole biggun think about all the little good ole bigguns inside of her....

First of all, what I said was a 2 litre is cheaper than 2 20 oz. drinks. :smt019 Besides, I had enough left at the end of the day to wash down the half pound of gizzards.

We threw everything at them yesterday. The CT caught fish.

Looking forward to the 25th, partner.
What was I supposed to do today?

I just cleaned the trout we brought home. 1 fish had a 6" mullet in its gullet, all others were empty.

Big baits equal big fish.

We were there. Fished in close most of the day, up north. Damn at the boats. People with no respect, they'd run over ya to get to a spot. Fish were scarce for us in close,I think too much boat traffic. We moved out later in the day waded thru a lot of shorts to get a few keepers. I logged 34 miles on the GPS. Cork was the ticket later.

How many times have I found the right size jig first but maybe not the color I wanted but put it on anyway.
Thanks, needed some decent evidence on that situation.

If it was the one with about 8 people on it, they were unloading that morning with us. I wonder if it was some type of Charter, the capt. was given geust all types of instructions at the ramp, and loading that big boat with trout tackle.

Bad company lives on the canal on the way out. Cool name for a boat. The boat I saw was white with twin motors.
