Double hook up

Post by Atticus »

about half of the 22 or so trout my buddy and I caught on Sunday were caught as doubles. When I say 'doubles' I mean setting the hook within three (3) seconds of each other when out baits (sometimes different) were 30 yards appart sometimes. We had FOUR of those. Wierd coincidence -or- is there a method to this madness?

One other thing I noticed was after a missed hook-set - just tossed it right back on top of him. Hooked up more often than not. I had a great time. :-D

You simply came upon a school of feeding fish. Were they all about the same size?

They were same-sized. It just seemed to happen a lot. Fish, fish, fish and nothing then bam a double then fish, fish, fish...

Sounds like you guys make a good fishing team. Gomer and Goober would be jealous. Plus you can catch fish.

Atticus;

I got your e-mail but my reply wont send.

My Action Craft is a 1820 Coastline, year 2000.
I really do like it a lot, The ride is good.
In a 2 foot chop I can run near 45 mph.
In a 3 foot chop I can run around 20 to 25 mph. Faster depending on the direction of the chop.
JT51 rode with me one time and we were in about 4's to 5's and we were able to stay around 15 mph. Of course we were both wet, heck any open boat will wet you you in 4 to 5's.

Good Luck, and let me know if you have anymore questions.
If we were all crazy, Wouldn't that make us all normal.
