5 fishermen went east today

Post by Jumptrout51 »

Yep 5 fishermen. 5 keepers among the 5 fishermen. 5 shorts among the 5 fishermen.
I CHALK it up to north wind, cold front and full moon. Fished the hotspots from Teamseatrout on Sunday. No fish to be found. No birds moving. No mullet jumping. No fish breaking water, nothing at all happening on the water. Finally saw 1 eagle dive on something. Came up empty.

I think I saw him in the creek. But,I was running 42 mph around the mouth with another boat on my 6. Didn't have time to chat. Had to make the next turn.

Sounds like a rough day, if you can call fishing on a Wednesday rough.

I swear I won't tell. I'll secretly pitch off the back when nobody is looking. :-D These numbers wouldn't be to the secret lower unit eating rocks would they? :o

Classic. 3 days removed & almost nothing. Why Why Why?
The wind may have an been issue but the moon was Full early Tuesday which would equate to very similar lunar conditions between Sun & Wed -with about 3 hours difference in time. Roughly, IMO.
Back to the wind. I can't conceive of why wind direction makes such a difference, but we "know" it does.
Any ideas?
Intrigues me enough to raise a topic on it.

Wevans -
The bit in the Almanac about the wind direction is right on. I can't for the life of me figure out why it is true, but I have proven the theory time after time with my fishing results. :smt102

There were two boats in there, I was closest one to you when you shot through the rock garden and up the creek. Looked like you banked your boat off the reeds on your first turn :o Awesome!
