KEATON 3-20-06

Post by devans850 »

Well birdog here ya go..started around 7am and fished from hagen's cove to salt creek. Started off with top dogs and caught several in 2ft of water a couple up to 20inches. Around 9:30 or so it tapered of and we went into 4-5ft of water and started using flukes and jigs under ct's. We ended up with our limit and my partner caught one that was 27inches on a fluke. Total we probably caught 30-40 trout. To top the day off we cauggt to keeper reds and caught several more that were released(no world records tho) :-D . The reds were caught near salt creek and dark island. Thats about it. 8)

The wind wasn't to bad first thing in the mornin and the it did get pretty bad. It wasn't as miserable as I thought it was gonna be. I believe the water temp was around 68-69 degrees. We ended up back at the ramp around 2pm.

There are some foot getters between Salt creek and Cedar Island if you didn't know....Most are visible, but heard there were some singles out there....other than that area it's free and clear for the most part
