first trip down to the coast of the year. got to fish with kingeider for the weekend. well, all i can say is "MAN, WHAT A WEEKEND". friday was very slow but we managed 10 trout and 9 redfish. put in at 6 and didn't have our first bite until around noon. they finally picked up and we really worked on them. if the wind wasn't blowing a gail in the afternoon each day during the best tide, we would have had 20-30 fish days just on reds.
a true carpet mat. the biggest flounder i have ever seen.
kingeider with a friend of ours.
saturday was unreal. it is a perfect day in my book and i have only ever had four of them. we limited on trout by 2 and then had 9 reds in 30 minutes including our limit for the day.
a livewell full
some of the reds and trout
sunday was another good one. ended up with 10 trout but should have had our limit. we had caught the end of the falling tide in the morning and the fish were finicky. we had 5 at the boat that we lost. this is rare on trout. then we went in and were going to try for the reds before we had to leave. boy we hit them at the beginning of their feed. we caught 9 in 35 minutes. i couldn't believe it. three good fish around 25 inches.
21 inch trout
king eider with a red.

Volguy. Great trip. Lets do it again soon. I was posing in front of the wrong boat. Egret is in the shop today getting the trolling motors working. The guys think the problem is in the banks. Those are awesome pictures. Lets do it again
Boy, Volguy, we don't hear from you much but when we do you have the best luck. Those are some might good looking fish. Big reds, too. That makes me want to try Icky real soon. Waiting on the winds to lay some and tides to get right.
