My buddy, Jodie, and I idled out of the lighthouse at first light. Headed west. My intention was to locate fish, not necessarily catch a bunch. That said, we never fished the same water twice. We would fish through an area, and make notes of what was, or was not caught. Fished everything from 6' of water to oyster bars. Most of the fish came from 4.5' to 5' of water. Never caught a fish in less than 3' of water.
The wind was blowing all day long. Not too bad at daylight, but stedily increased all day. By 2:00 P.M., it was white capping in shallow water. By 3:00 P.M., it was bad. Put it on the trailer at 3:30.
We caught something close to 50 trout. If it was less than 16", we didn't count it as a keeper. Caught 7 trout over 16". Caught numerous fish that were in the 15" to 16" category. Caught a lot of shorts. Nothing over 20". The water temp was 67 at daylight, 71 by afternoon. We caught fish on topwater, a hard jerk bait, Catch 2000, and a CT rig.

What was I supposed to do today?
Thanks TC for running and reporting a forecast. Maybe somebody will listen and it'll save em time when they get out there.

Just an indicator of how bad it got. At around 2:00 P.M., we went to an area where there were probably 15 other boats. When we left the area at 3:00 P.M., there were 2 boats left. We watchet the rest of them run toward the river. The 2 remaining boats were both over 20' long. We were in 4' of water.
