Spring Creek 4/8-4/9

Post by GC »

Fishing out of spring creek 4/8 and 4/9.
The wind blew hard on Saturday. Got on the water around 10:30. We caught 1 keeper trout and 1 keeper spanish. Probably 5-6 short trout. Got sick of the wind and quit around 3:00.
Water temp between 68-70 all day.

Sunday, wind blew hard early, then laid down. We caught 5 keeper trout and probably a dozen or so shorts (some borderline at 15"-15.5" thrown back) and 2 blue fish. All of this between 7:30 and 12:30.
Water temp between 66-68 all day.

That was with two of us fishing. All fish caught on jigs (candy corn Saltwater assassin curly tail, electric chicken saltwater assassin, white grub pink tail all with red jig head). Had a few blow ups on top water, but no fish landed. 3-4 foot was the magic depth.....we fished everything from 2 foot to 21 foot and only had hits in the 3-4 foot range.

A few pics.

Those are very nice trout. I'd say you did real well considering the conditions
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".
