East wind a jinx?

Post by PerryFisherMan »

Several times I've heard people say that you are wasting your time fishing an east wind. Well, today the forecast is an east wind early switching to an SW later on.

It's not going to stop me from going today, I'm just wondering if any others have heard this, or experienced an east wind slowing down the bite.

By the way, the FishByte program Wevans showed looked interesting. Does this help predict anybetter than the standard solunar tables?

I'll let you guys know how I did tonight.

If it's 5-10 from any direction I fish. East wind has never effected my fishing. If work didn't get in the way I'd be out there right now.

The main places I fish I prefer a East wind in the morning. It keeps the sun out of my sleepy eyes. It also keeps you in the same general depth of water on a drift.
Fish caught on a east wind equal or surpass any other direction for me.
