Marine batteries

Post by Fishman »

Can anyone give me some advice on a good quality marine battery?I've been using Interstate for the longest time and in the past they have been great batteries. But the last couple of crankin and trolling and including my truck battery have died early.Don't know if their quality has dropped off or I just got in a bad batch.

Delco Voyager, the absolute best I've ever seen for a dual purpose battery :smt023

Is this something different from their blue top spiral cell marine battery?

I'd have to go along with a couple of the others and say AC Delco. I had a group 27 deep cycle that just bit the dust after 8 or 9 years use. Going to use it as a core charge for another 27 deep cycle for the new boat. Had a group 27 and a group 30 in the boat we just traded and hadn't had any problems with them either.
