Wakulla River 4/24

Post by Charles »

Hooked up a canoe behind a bike and put in at Lower Bridge at about 12:30. Lost two keeper bass on a chartreuse Snagless Sally/brown pork frog, but only went up to the end of the shallow stretch and back.

The second fish I lost was about the biggest bass I think I have ever seen in that river, but I was horsin' her to keep her away from a log. She just came unstuck when I got her up near the boat. :smt013

Hot, stopped on the biiig cypress bole over near the last dock on the right, going up, for a swim. The cormorants and sliders on the next cypress bole were looking at me like, "What's this crazy human doing taking a bath in our river?"

Didn't find any roofing nails to clear out of the road with a trailer tire on the way home this time, but did see an inch worm humping his way across Lower Bridge Road. Makes me wonder what the width of LB Rd is in inch worm yards. :smt017

Dave, it's just like fishing on Saturday, without the crowd.
What was I supposed to do today?
