A unique website dedicated to fishing information from Florida's Northern Big Bend. This includes the area from the Econfina River west to the Apalachicola River
Looking for good places in the area esay to reach with a 16' skiff. Ocklocknee shoals, nine mile bank, or dog island reef?????? Just to swim and pick up sand dollars or shells, maybe spearfish.

Yup.
Later in the summer, when the rock grass is good and tall, some of those rocks are like swimming in a giant saltwater aquarium.
And don't overlook the Wakulla River, it's great on a hot day.
In fact, take your snorkling gear and head up to Wakulla Springs, cruise around the swimming area. I was up there just a few weeks ago with a mask and snorkle. Fish everywhere, mostly mullet. Very clear water.
After fishing the tournament at St Joe Bay.... you wouldn't get me in there snorkle'n. I don't know when I spent a day fishing with that many BIG sharks crusing around me.
