Places to stay around St. Marks or Shell point.

Post by Knot Tester »

With my favorite place to stay DOA (IslandView Inn), I'm looking for a new place to ramp a boat with a 3' draft and a cheap place to stay.

The cabins at the Carrabelle Palms RV Park looked interesting but the email response did not impress (spelling, overall misuse of the English language).

No there isnt no spots for boat parking...If you can fit it on the site thats fine...The refrigerator in the duplexs are mini...Though we do have bigger cabins which are nicer and alot bigger they have full soze ones...More roomy...Hope I answered your questions good enpough call us with any other questions or visit our website @ http://www.carrabellepalmsrvpark.com

Anyone stayed there or drove by before?

So as per the topic, St. Marks and Shell point launching are not out of the question if I can get some ideas on places to stay.

I know the Osterbye's who own the RV park. They are good people.

I like the Shell Island Fish Camp in St. Marks.

Dry Storage, Boat Ramp, Overnight Slips, Clean Cheap Rooms.

Now its not upscale like the moorings. It's an old time Florida fish camp.

Its also basically fresh water so your engine gets flushed on the way in.

Stays booked up during the best fishing periods so make your reservations early.
