Easy cast, castnets???

Post by MstrBaiter »

You guys ever tried them? I just bought a 4 footer w/ 1/4" mesh, 1.5lbs of lead/foot.....saw the videos and they had ladies throwing 10 footers 40' out with ONE ARM ONLY :o

SOLD!!!! 8)

anyway had to get something, lost my 5 footer this week at the launch, got stuck on bottom and only about half of it came up. Then went to get the other off of the big boat at the marina and it had mysteriously walked off by itself...geezus.....

Anyway, any feedback on this net, anybody ever thrown one?

nothing to it....didn't see the instructions when I got it out of the box, still managed a perfect throw on the 3rd toss....came with 26' of throw rope, need to put more on there....you can easily throw it that far w/ little effort and one arm. Not a big deal for inshore purposes, but might be nice to add some more for blue water purposes....

 not yet...just saw that when I was reading the instructions this morning...

yeah mudducker, it's in there. Says to do it twice a year whether you use the net or not. What confused me is that he said he does it in the same bucket he uses to 'keep' the net in, and his bait....... :-?

I don't see those shrimp/minnows holding up too well in a bucket that's been saturated w/ fabric softener.....but then again....I won't be using that method regardless...
