Econfina 5-10
Left the ramp about 8:30AM. It was pretty rough out there. Bite was slow as it has been for me lately. The first fish in the new net was 31-1/2" Cobia. Great way to break in the new net. Yes, I let him swim. Myself and my two fishing buddys fished hard, moved, fished hard some more, moved some more. You get the picture. As of lunch we had 3 nice trout in the cooler, had released a Cobia after a good fight, released a 3' shark after a better fight. Considered giving in but could not think of anywhere I would rather be so we stayed with it. Glad we did, Ended the day about 4:30PM with 8 trout in the box up to 23". I wish I could say we got on them but it was more like we just stayed with it. Most were caught on jigs and grubs under cajun thunder. Depths varied from 3-6 feet. Hope to try it again this weekend...

YA DID GOOD
YA DID GOOD COMPARED TO WHAT WE DID LAST FRI. JUST DOES NOT SEEM TO BE AS MANY FISH IN THE BAY AS THERE WAS LAST YEAR, MAYBE IT IS BECAUSE WE HAVE NOT HAD ANY REALLY HOT WEATHER SO FAR THIS YEAR, I HOPE THAT IS THE REASON.
