Managed to get down to the LH for a few hours both days. Got down there in the afternoon on Friday and launched around 1:30 and ran east to drift some grass. Managed two drifts before being getting sick of the increasing winds and ran up a creek. Caught three trout, two ~16" keepers (all released). All caught on sparkle jig under a CT in around 4' of water. Worked the creek pretty hard but didn't get any fish. Back at the hill at 4:00 after a ~rough~ ride along the shoreline tryin to avoid the whitecaps.
Launched today at 10:30 at the LH...fella at the gate said that I was number 73 and to expect a crowd down at the boatramp. He was right....parking was limited to say the least. Decided to go someplace new seeing as how the bay was fairly calm and the wind was staying down. Headed west and started drifting in about 6' of water. Did one drift and picked up 6 trout all but one a keeper. Kept a 16" and a 20". Motored near a cut between some bars and picked up a 17" red and a 12" flounder. Trout and red came on a CT. Flounder hit a redfish magic. By this time the wind had picked up (again) and decided to move up the East River. Fished the mouth and up a creek with no luck. Rough ride to the hill around 4:30 with plenty of wind and chop.
Nice to be out catching some fishes though
