I used Larry Rich a couple of years ago and he did a good job. However, that last time I needed some work I could never catch him in his shop. I even left messages taped to his door but never got a call. May have been some circumstances that I wasn't aware of so if you want to try, the number I have for him is 574-0787 His hrs are supposed to be Mon, Tue, Thur from 3-6 and he is located at 4520-B Moore Circle in Tallahassee.

Now...the last time I needed a repair.... I used Liberty Communications (just West of Walmart on the parkway) They did a good job in a reasonable amount of time but seemed to be a bit pricey for what was done (IMO) 877-7329 Several of the folks there are fishermen so they understand your needs.

Could also be as simple as cleaning or replacing the mic. That happened to me once before with your symptoms.
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".
