Leaking sprinkler head

Post by salty_dog »

I think my leak is being caused by a bad solenoid and/or valve. I have a 10yo hunter system that works fine in all respects until this weeping head appeared last month. I have tightened the solenoid down, but not too tight, I then took the valve apart and cleaned it. Everything seems to be in really good shape.
Still had the leak after cleaning the valve so I changed out the solenoid. After all this I still have the slow leak.

Any suggestions?

Replace the head, there not that expensive, not sure how much pressure is on the line when it's closed, but my sprinklers are pretty hard to pull out when it's off....Might check the electrical connections, I had a bad connection last summer that caused some funky problems...
