Econfina 6-17 Short and sweet.

Post by catchin1 »

Me and a friend finally got to go this morning. On the water at 6:30, slight breeze out of the east. Went in close in front Hickory Md to try to catch a red on the high tide, too much spagetti grass couldn't even use the trolling motor. Even suface baits would get caught up in it. So back out on the flats, breeze picks up pretty good after 8:00. So I broke out the CJ's and gulp grubs. Picked up 6 trout from 15-21", only a couple shorts. Not heavy action but I got supper. Headed in at 12:00 back home in Quitman at 1:30. Got supper and not to tired from spending all day on the water.
Short and sweet.

Thats the best kind of fish pics.

That spaggetti grass has really been a pain this year. Seems to get bad around just west of redfish point and really bad on towards the east. My theory is all the clear water this year let a lot of sunlight penetrate the water.

Catchin, go to your profile and reset your time zone. You have to lie to it, and tell it one time zone east, to get the correct time for daylight savings time. It was actually 4:47 when I posted.
