Despite all of her brother's unasked for advice(he's the resident expert on all fishing matters since he's been a few times more) she proceded to put two keepers in the boat, plus a lot of throwbacks and a 13 inch black sea bass well before any other keepers made it to the ice chest or live well.
I mainly acted as guide, fish remover, line untangler, and bait boy for a good while. We weren't using live bait, but the pinfish bite was so strong, we were going thru Gulps like they were live shrimp! I hate to think how many bags of those things we went thru.
Finally, they tired enough for Dad to get in on the action a little. We ended up with 10 trout mostly 16-18 inches, one just shy of 20, th esea bass, plus about 30 shorts, a bunch of which were in danger of shrinking under 15" so were released to grow a little. Everyone got in on the action, even Mom and big Sis

Sorry we didn't take more fish pictures, but most on here know what a speckled trout looks like. The bite was off and on all day with periods of no action punctuated with several fish over just a few minutes over the same spot. The pinfish hardly let up all day.
We quit about 3:30, which was longer than I thought they would last, but not as long as I hoped they would(they're not addicts yet).

The end result was a smooth ride back to the river with enough fish to clean:

I think that's it for me until it cools off a little bit. I'll be lurking and wishing I was fishing for a while.
