Shell Point July 22-29

Hi Guys,Will be brining my family(about 8 in all) to Shell Point for a week the last of July just looking for a few suggestions on fishing in the area as I have never fished the bend in July or August.My son keeps talking about scalloping and deep fishing but I've only been out 5 miles or so in my boat around Lanark.Any suggestions?
