Flounder fishing specifics

Post by Redbelly »

I know using mud monnows is good bait. Where is the most likely spot to cast net these?

Does anybody on here target these delicious fish?

I know about night gigging, but am not realy set up to do that properly.

I am thinking on pursuing these on a regular basis along with redfish at the Aucilla and other shallow water flat areas.

Any tips would be appreciated. :D

Use a jig head to lip a mudminnow across the lips and slow retrieve across the bottom like a lure and you can slow drift across sandy flats. You can also put a 1/4 ounce weight behind a swivel then use about a 12" to 18" leader to hook, and hook your mudminnow through the lips and do the slow retrieve or let it sit.
