Me, my 9yr old, and my baby brother were on the water by 0630. Spurred by the catch of Reds on the last trip, we decided to start off on the points. The wind and the tides weren't on our side. We managed two keeper Reds and one keeper flounder. We then moved out to deeper water and caught 1 keeper Rock Bass and 3 20" trout. Not alot of fish today - but had a great time. One of the trout came from a CT with an 18" leader with a circle hook - dragging a Gulp 2"crab. We just threw it out behind the boat and stuck it in the rod holder - 5 seconds later it took off. But that was the only one caught that way. The flounder was caught on a Catch 2000. The reds on gold spoons. The bass and other two trout on jigs.
Mark forgot to mention the SharkSucker (Remora) he caught. This is the first one I have ever seen. Looked like a small Cobia in the water, but it didn't fight like one. After we landed it we saw the "suction cup" on the top of it's head.
