St. Joe Bay 7/1-7/8

Post by birddog »

Trout fishing was great the 1 st of the week. Caught double and triple limits of trout in the 18"-26" range until Tuesday. Struggled the rest of the week. I blame it on the absence of water, lack of tide, and acres of floating grass :smt013 . Caught 'em on topwater, hard/soft jerkbaits and jigs.

The fishing guides on the Bay seem to be doing well using live bait in holes/channels.

The lack of water shut down my redfishing. Only managed 3 all week. I guess I should have looked at a tide chart before scheduling a vacation.

Can't wait til next time.
