St. Marks 7/8
Have not posted much recently so I thought I better get hopping.
On 7/8, Steve, JoeF and I dove and fished the marker 24 area. It was rough in the morning but calmed in the afternoon. On the way out we found Spanish Mackeral so we stopped and had some fun trolling them for a while. We got 4 in a short period of time. We fished each spot first and then dove when the fishing slowed. Tally for the day was 4 grouper, 4 spanish macks, 1 hog and 2 triggers. Finding legal grouper that close in was a challenge but it was a fun day. Our grouper ranged from 23 - 31" with two over 30". Not bad for 28' of water.
Oversized red
One of these guys almost stole my spear.
