Here in the Port St Joe area the fishing is getting hot Inland you will find good schools of Redfish in the 22 to 30 inch size range . The blue fish are hanging tight with the Redfish and will take what ever you are throwing . The Sharks are feeding on both the Blues and Reds so be prepared for the attack. The Trout are there but you will catch lots of shorts with a few good ones Just keep working the deeper water and the bigger Trout will end up in the boat. Flounder bite has slowed , but still plenty good ones to be taken . The flounder are at every depth, from the 1 foot grass to the 15 foot holes and will take live bait as well as a red and white plastic .
Scallops are fair in deep water 6 to 8 feet although you can get enough to eat in water 2 feet. Because scallops are filer feeders and will die in water with the silt kicked up use your good judgment and snorkel for them when ever possible.
The Tarpon are here in good numbers just off the beaches with a good hook up coming from the light house area. The Triple Tail are still hanging around the markers and floats so don’t pas by to fast and you may get lucky.
Good luck and have a Safe trip
