I bought it last year from one of my customers. I'm not sure of the year, but there is a decal saying that it conforms to 1996 safety standards. Don't know if that is the manufactured year, but more than likely it is. The mower has run great for me and I didn't want to spend $800-$1000 for a new one when this one ran and cut just fine. The guy I bought it from had it serviced when needed and kept it in his garage. Hope that helps.
