SeaDek
I was checking out an article in FS and it was about this product called Seadek. It is marketed as a foam type/non-skid covering for your boat. It says it works great on fiberglass, but anybody know if this stuff is just as good on aluminum or is it even worth buying any?

Rat, I can't speak to the aluminum question but the stuff is great on the feet. The deck on my forward casting platform is made of diamond cut fiberglass and is a nightmare on the feet for extended periods of time. I put some Seadek down and I can fish from the platform all day w/o any discomfort. It cleans up real well with a pressure washer/hose. I give it

I apologize for not replying to this thread earlier. I have answered some of your questions via email for a couple of you already. For anybody else that needs some info, please don't hesitate to email me at the address above.
Yes I am a Seadek dealer. Unfortunately for most here, I am located in Fort Walton Beach. You can still order the product through me, and I will try to get you a good, fair price with shipping to your home. I would need for you to go to the website and determine the following things:
How many sheets you need
Size of the sheets you need
thickness of the sheets (3mm or 5mm)
and the color that you would prefer
Honestly, this stuff is very easy to deal with and you shouldn't have any problems with installation. You clean the surface that you want to apply it to, cut the sheet to fit with a carpet knife, peel off the backing and stick it down. It's that simple.
I did mention to somebody that installation is basically doubling your price on the Seadek, if you wanted us to install it. I think I was told to charge a little more, but I'm a sucker and don't need to.
Anyway, I will be more than happy to work with you guys. Remember, I don't have your boat in front of me so I can't tell you exactly how much you will need for a specific application. Take your measurements, check the website and let me know what you need. Unfortunately, again, my credit card machine only allows me to run a card at the shop, so payment will have to be in the form of a check or money order via mail, etc. I will do my best to take care of you guys though.
Thank you
