What do yall think about SeaPro boats?

Have a friend who just bought one. I don't think he's had it long enough to form an opinion, but when he dose. I'll let you know.

I like them alot. In fact I am trying hard to find a decent used 1900 at this time. I have fished out of the 2100 and the 2300 and like the way both boats were set up. Lots of useable space and very well built. The 2100 Sea Pro or 21 Key West BayReef is hard to beat for that size and quality of boat. However, I certainly wouldn't knock any other brands of boats. I just haven't fished out of a Pathfider, Ranger, Trition, Blazer Bay, ...... to give a comparison. I have a friend with a 21 Nautic Star that he likes alot. I think it is just a matter of your own opinion.

FYI - The 2100 with a 150 Yamaha 2 stroke would top out around 45+ full loaded with gear and 2 people. I wouldn't go any smaller on the motor, but a 4 stroke would be nice.

The 2300 with a 225 would run about the same with 4 people on board. Now they make that boat in a 2400.

It looks like im going to have to decide between the KeyWest 196 Bay Reef and the SeaPro SV2100CC.

I have a 2005 Sea Pro SV2100 with a Yamaha 200HPDI.

I love the boat. We fish out of St. Marks and regularly take the boat out 30 miles. Not really comfortable in 2' to 3's but I have never felt unsafe. Three of us were diving out of her this weekend. 6 tanks and all the gear and she handled the weight very well.

From the flats to grouper to diving a very versatile boat and a great value.

We have had no real problems and this is the boats second season.

BTW is that motor a 2 stroke or 4 stroke?

HPDI's are 2 stroke. I picked it because of the weight. Considerably less than a 4 stroke of equal power. The 200 HPDI has a great reputation for dependability unlike the rest of the HPDI line. I average better than 3 miles to the gallon even loaded down. Now when its rough that mileage drops.

Get trim tabs. Smooths out the ride a bunch and allows you to trim for different loads.

Yeah I was gunna try for a 2 stroke this time. I have heard 2 strokes are getting better and better.
