2004 Key West 186 Bay Reef, 115 Yamaha 2 stroke, Performance aluminum trailer. All factory equipment included.

Extras:
4 blade Turbo stainless prop
Standard Horizon Eclipse+ VHF
Digital 4' antenna
Garmin 250C bottom machine on the console
Garmin 120 bottom machine on the bow
Minn Kota 80 pound thrust Riptide trolling motor, less than a year old
Custom built leaning post (I also have the factory flip flop seat)

The boat has a 60 gallon fuel tank. There is about 40 gallons of gas in it.[/img]

I bought this boat new in August, 2004. The rig has 133 hours on it. It's been in the water 4 times in the past year. I'm not using it enough.

I know the boat is sold, but would you mind answering a couple of questions that I was curious about.

I noticed that you have a 4 blade prop, I have the exact same boat, mine is a 2006 model, I have the three blade prop. One of the things I have noticed about this boat is it is slow to plane with a full livewell of water and a couple of people on board. Question, Did you replace the factory prop?, if so, how much did it help? What pitch etc.

The other question is much easier. I noticed two black (rubber looking things) on either side of the bow deck. My boat does not have those, Are they rod holders?, did you install? I was thinking about putting rod holders in the bow area, Your Thoughts?

Wevans, you are correct. Those are foot switches for the trolling motor.

YB, The factory prop had no bow lift at all. The boat ran flat. The 4 blade prop in the picture is the Turbo Flats 4. I bought a 19 pitch, but should have bought a 17 pitch. I could only turn that one about 5000 RPM. As for hole shot, I never had a hole shot problem with the boat. In fact, that boat would get up with the motor trimmed half way up. What boat and motor do you have. With that information I bight better be able to help with your hole shot problem.

Tin Can,
I have a 2006 186 Key West Bay Reef. Basically it is factory, I have a stainless three blade prop, and the problem is when I have 2 or three people on board and a full live well, the boat will just barely get up on plane. It certainly will not get up on plane with the engine tilted up at all.

Different question, how far out were you comfortable taking this boat out.

I have been out about 10 miles, Seems to me the farther I go the smaller this boat gets.

I KNOW he's been at least 20 miles out "I was with him" :-D but then, I go 20 miles out in my 17.5 foot Bass boat also :o :smt004 :beer:
