Shimano Curado CU100D or Chronarch CH100B
Shimano Curado CU100D @ $199.99 or Chronarch CH100B. @ $269.99.
Darn that is a lot for a reel, but I hear they are the best of the best.
WHATDOYATHINK?
Is the Chronarch worth $70.00 more than the Curado? Do you need the SV if you go with the Chronarch CH100B (SV is the saltwater verision).
This reel will be used for topwater and crankbaits.

Go and handle both reels...I have CH100SV, the Curado 100D, fits my hand better...My next purchase will be a 100D.
Give the guys at South GA Outdoors a call, they will treat you right, tell them to send the bill to Birddog

My nickles worth.......
As I posted several weeks ago, my son-in-law that does a lot of bass fishing brought me two used Chronarch 100's..They were the first two he had ever owned and over the years he had bought several more..He told me these were well over ten years old..Had been serviced but no special attention given them.
I took em to St Marks and used them for a couple days..One was a lot smoother than the other but still better than any bait caster I had ever used..
I came back home and went down to my local dealer and bought two 100B's.. Dealer had some Curado's, Calcutta's, and Pflueger Surpremes in stock..I handled all of these but went with the Chronarchs...
No question about them being the best bait casters I ever used..Figure with a little care they'll last bout as long as I do........
