Boat flooring?

Is there something in the place of carpet to put down that gives some sound reduction and is easy to wash off?
For aluminum .

In my duck boat I used a pickup bed mat. Bought it for a longbed dodge because it was the biggest. Just cut it to fit and lay it in there. Buy a thick one and it wont blow out.

Other than that Cabelas has new neomat, but its camo and is $60 every 3'

You might could try Seadek. I don't know how quiet it would make the boat.

The do it yourself bed linings are cheap and work well.

Just curious...Are those bed linings hard on your feet? In the Summer I'm usually barefoot on the boat, and it seems like a rhino-lining type product would be tough on your feet. Also, it seems like it would get pretty hot.

Ive used them twice and the finish is directly related to the way it is applied. I used a roller for semi-smooth surface and it laid down pretty good.

I got some of the seadek samples in the mail and it looks like good stuff. I think one of my projects this winter will be to cover the casting deck in it. I also see Bass Pro has gallons of rubberized paint for around 60 bucks a gallon.

Is that seadeck peel and stick? That would work on the front casting deck.
And for the rear seat bench.
Then I could velcro some carpet to plywood for the bottom and sides. How quiet does that seadeck make it?

Yea its peel and stick which I was skeptical of at first but the adhesive seems really sticky. I have seen a post on Florida Sportsman where somebody installed it in a skiff with that 3M spray adhesive. It's closed cell foam and comes in two thicknesses. It seems like it would definately deaden sound. I mean you could probably drop lead weights on it without making much of a sound especially the thicker version. It comes in a few colors. A little more pricey than paint though.

I've been real pleased with it so far. Im gonna make some modifications this winter with some access hatches and need to raise the jackplate on the transom but other than that its been good.

I'm looking into covering the front casting deck and floor in seadek. I don't like the nonskid paint I have on there now, It's that sand grain nonskid and is hard on the feet. Im also considering that rubberized paint I saw in Bass Pro.
