Maiden Voyage of the Jack Plate started out with a dead battery yesterday, fixed that problem. Slide the Ghost rider into the bay around 0630 this morning....Spent the better part of an hour cutting donuts and testing the jack plate out and new steering cable..I need to adjust the cavitation anode, could hardly turn to the left under power...Jack plate seemed to launch the boat out of the hole better, RPMS were up, top end was the same.

On to fishing - Hit my faithful redfish bank, had the first red hit my topwater bait five times on three different cast before it hooked up....Nice 21" red in the box....Fished down the bank had several other reds on, missed some to....Decided to go exploring, headed over towards North Bay...Idled in looking for some trout, had a few strikes....Kinda boring so I ease over to the bank and start seeing bait and a few redfish...Ended up catching a 22", saw several big one's....Had one take me to skewl on topwater, most likely an overslot red

Ended up catching one more red and decided to call it a day. I can tell it's been almost two months since I went fishing...Headed to St. Joe in the morning :-D
